For a while now, I’ve been pondering whether to start a newsletter. The abundance of workplace-related discourse in the media left me feeling hesitant and unsure. Is there more noise than value out there? Would my contribution be perceived as noise or value?
I kept deferring the idea, but in recent conversations I’ve noticed that there is a real desire to further unpack the complexities of how and where we work: the quest to match our changing behaviours and working rhythms with the right workplace environments.
I sense that our industry is calling for deeper exploration; to go beyond the surface-level hot topics of ‘to return or not to return’ that news headlines favour, and delve into real meaningful discourse. As a workplace strategist, that is exactly what excites me.
Image:Looking at the world of work & place through the human geography lens
Early in my workplace-strategy career, I adopted a non-conventional approach to the world of work and place, more specifically; I applied a Human Geography lens. It was somewhat uncommon at the time, and perhaps still is, but I believe that now the time is ripe to share more of a human geography perspective with you.
Simply put, the purpose of my newsletter is to inspire you to think critically, creatively and geographically about how and where we work best.
I will be publishing the first edition soon; today I just wanted to share this decision with you and let you know how much I would love for you to subscribe. You’ll receive insights on a fortnightly basis – and I will do my utmost best to make it worth your while:)
P.S. If there is any topic that you are particularly interested in or curious about, please let me know in the comments below or send me a message. Let’s do this! 🙌
